Fishing Knots
Here are some basic and complex knots that you could use to tie your traces and leaders...
Palomar Knot This knot is my favourite and I use it the most - on everything from hooks to swivels. The reason I like it is it has the least effect on break-strength and its quick and easy to tie. |
Albright Special The best way to tie a leader to your line. |
Blood Knot A great way to joint a break in your line. Two lines of similar thickness. |
Surgeons End Loop This is the old faithful used for quick traces such as brown bread and river traces. The mistake most beginners make is they don't make the second loop. |
Clinch Knot Often used to tie hooks to a line. Strong and reliable. |
